One of the most amazing of the messianic titles for Jesus Christ is that of the "Lion of Judah." This description is rooted in Genesis 49:8-10. In this description are the qualities of dignity and strength, majesty and sovereignty, wisdom and power, courage and conquest. 

The lion is regarded as the uncontested ruler of the animal kingdom. As the Lion of Judah, Jesus Christ is the matchless ruler of the universe.

John's vision in Revelation depicts Christ as the Lion of Judah who overcame and defeated the rebellious Satan.

Having prevailed, Christ has become the only being in all of the universe found worthy to open the scroll and its seven seals. This is beneficial to mankind that the Savior is able to vindicate the character of God, guarantee the salvation of those who accept Him, and finally redeem forever the lost dominion. 

Because of the Lord Jesus Christ our King, the victorious outcome of God's redemption strategy is now complete. 

Judah’s Lion has prevailed!
